Important update on Beef prices

Important update on Beef prices
Dear Valued Customers,

Thank you for making our Haggis season a resounding success! Your enthusiasm for our special offerings, especially our Sausage of the Month, Pork & Haggis Sausage, has been overwhelming.

I want to reaffirm our unwavering commitment to providing you with the finest beef. We meticulously select local beef that meets our high standards, ensuring each cut is not only locally sourced but also aged to perfection. This process enhances the flavour and tenderness, aligning with our promise to deliver exceptional quality.

However, due to significant industry-wide challenges, we’ve seen substantial increases in beef prices. While these changes are notable, please be assured that we are doing everything possible to manage them carefully and maintain the value you expect from us.

The broader meat industry faces challenges with fluctuating supply and prices, primarily due to an ongoing reduction in UK cattle numbers. While this has led to increased competition for premium beef, especially from large retail chains, our longstanding partnerships, such as with Neil & Michael Gibson of Willowford Farm and Acklington Auction Mart, along with other regional meat suppliers, ensure we consistently secure the best of the best for you. These partnerships support our local farmers and guarantee that the beef we offer is of the highest quality.

We understand the importance of value and are here to help you make informed choices about your purchases. If you're ever unsure about how much meat you need, our expert butchers are ready to assist. They can help you buy precisely what you need, potentially saving you money and reducing waste.

Thank you once again for your continued support and trust in us. It's your commitment to choosing local, quality products that empower us to uphold these standards.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Food Hall soon and sharing more of our
favourite selections with you.

Regards,
Mark Turnbull
